    Why should you join us?

The textiles and clothing industry has an immense influence on the global economy, trade and employment rates, as well as social and environmental aspects.
To continue enhancing the sector's development, ITC's Fibres, Textiles and Clothing (FTC) programme created this platform so all professionals interested in the textiles and clothing industry can have access to the material and training provided to ITC's beneficiaries and partners.
In this ever-changing sector, keeping yourself and your business informed on the latest trends, due diligence and trade requirements, and the industry forecast is crucial and will support businesses through the sector’s challenges. Join the Global Textile Academy to access a range of materials on the entire fibre to the clothing value chain.

    About us

The International Trade Centre’s Fibres, Textiles and Clothing (FTC) unit works along the entire value chain from natural fibre production to clothing manufacturing. We aim to strengthen the capacities of fibres, textiles and clothing manufacturers making them more competitive, including socially and environmentally responsible. At institutional level, we work with T&C- related business support organizations and training institutions in developing countries to become sustainable and reliable partners to effectively support the industry.
Through training, coaching, and advisory services, FTC supports farmers, companies, businesses support organizations, academia, among other stakeholders, to overcome challenges in the fibres to clothing sector.
In addition, we provide a neutral UN-enabled environment and platform where manufacturers and industry stakeholders can discuss common concerns, build partnerships, and jointly increase efficiency and reduce costs along the value chain.
