This module is designed to be followed last in our 6-module “Lean Series”. Before taking this module, you should already understand the lean concept and have industrial engineering tools such as method engineering and work measurement. You should also be able to draw value stream maps for process improvement. Now, to achieve lean and productivity in the workplace, you need a set of tools to achieve and monitor implementation! In this module, we cover in-depth details about all common tools used in lean productivity.
We recommend that you select a value stream map (if you have created one for your organization’s focus area) and work on improving it using the lean tools covered in this module in terms of quality, cost and delivery.
NOTE: We recommend using the latest version of the Chrome or Safari browsers to ensure an optimal experience viewing the lectures. You will be able to enrol until the starting date of the session.
After completing this course, participants will be able to:
Classify issues affecting apparel companies according to the lean category to which they apply;Identify lean tools’ advantages and disadvantages and match them with the issues they are most suited to address; and
Apply the lean tools you have learned to solve a variety of problems in the apparel industry.
