When OpenAI unveiled ChatGTP in December 2022, the world was taken by storm. Since then, large language models have continued to make groundbreaking advancements. While we are still in the early stages of deploying AI to provide tailored tutoring and student assistance, a future of training that is both fascinating and exhilarating is beginning to come into view. What will this future look like, and what can we do to ensure that our organizations remain at the leading edge of new developments in digital training? This session will focus on future training tools that AI advancements are expected to make available to development organizations in the next few years. |

Session 2Digitalizing training for development: how can AI help today?
|
|
Over the past decade, development organizations have used digital technologies, including e-learning, to make their training more effective. Some have innovated in impressive ways and achieved a significant impact. Recent developments in AI are a huge opportunity to further scale up access to high quality training and education, particularly in developing countries. In fact, AI is already supporting video production, translation, image generation, and data analysis. Combined with effective digitalization plans and policies, it is an opportunity to make training easier and cheaper to develop, while limiting the need for travel to deliver it. This session will explore the ways in which development organizations can effectively digitalize their trainings, including with the help of AI, to increase their reach and cost-effectiveness, all while lowering their carbon footprint. |
